Weekend Service Impacts

* *Route 49* will be rerouted off portions of 10th Avenue E, E Roanoke Street and Harvard Avenue E from 11 p.m. on Friday, September 26, to 5 a.m. on Monday, September 29, due to construction;
* *Route 8 *stop #2262 Denny Way & Stewart Street (Eastbound) will be relocated from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, due to construction;
* *Route 12 *will be impacted from 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, due to construction. The following stops will be closed;
* #13250 19th Avenue E & E Harrison Street (Southbound)
* #13330 19th Avenue E & E Thomas Street (Northbound)
* #13340 19th Avenue E & E Harrison Street (Northbound)
* #11080 E Pine Street & Broadway (Westbound)  

* *Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 13, 14, 21, 24, 27, 28, 33, 40, 62, 124, 131, 132,  and RapidRide C, D, E, and H Lines* will be impacted from 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, to 7 p.m. on Sunday September 28, by 3rd Avenue road closures. The following stops will be closed;
* #430 3rd Avenue & Pine Street (Southbound),
* #431 3rd Avenue & Pike Street (Southbound),
* #600 3rd Avenue & Virginia Street (Northbound) 
* #420 3rd Avenue & Virginia Street (Southbound) 

* *Route 10 *stop #11080 E Pine Street & Broadway (Westbound) will be closed from 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, to 5 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, due to a road closure; 
* *Routes 45, 65, 67, 75, 255, 372, and ST 542 *will be affected in the Montlake area, for various times from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, plus other game day traffic revisions during the Husky football game;

* *University of Washington Huskies *will have a game at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Husky Stadium [ [link removed] ]
* *Seattle Mariners *will have a games at 6:40 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, all at T-Mobile Park [ [link removed] ];
* *Sounders FC *will have a match at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at Lumen Field [ [link removed] ];
* *Reign FC *will have a match at 5 p.m. on Sunday at Lumen Field [ [link removed] ];

* *Water Taxi [ [link removed] ]* is operating on the summer sailing schedule [ [link removed] ] including the return of late-night weekend service to West Seattle;
* The water taxi will operate eight extra round-trips [ [link removed] ] between Pier 50 in downtown Seattle and the Vashon Ferry Terminal *beginning Oct. 11*. 

* *Seattle Center Monorail [ [link removed] ] *will operate regular hours each day this weekend. The Monorail will depart approximately every 10 minutes;

Metro Flex launches in Overlake, bringing on-demand transit to a new Eastside community

Getting around the Overlake community just got easier! Today, King County Metro launched its popular *Metro Flex* [ [link removed] ] service in the area, offering riders a new way to travel on their own schedule with affordable, on-demand rides that connect neighborhoods, transit hubs, shopping and more — all with just a few taps in an app.

The service operates Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The zone is about 2.8 square miles in size, covering key destinations such as Sound Transit’s Overlake Village Link light rail station, Crossroads Bellevue Shopping Center and Interlake High School.

Expert Metro staff work tirelessly to deliver service across 150 routes and over 300,000 boardings a day.  You don’t see them, but they’re essential to making sure your trip goes smoothly every day.

They help train the operators you see everyday, keep track of buses throughout the region and support drivers and the public 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

They are the supervisors, instructors, and coordinators  who put their backgrounds from other fields into good use.

We want to introduce you to the staff that help keep the wheels on the bus going “round and round” everyday.

RapidRide I Line is coming to Renton, Kent and Auburn

King County Metro is preparing to build 17 miles of new RapidRide service in Renton, Kent, and Auburn. Construction will begin this fall. Once I Line is in service in 2027 it will provide connections to the Renton Transit Center, Kent Transit Center and Auburn Station. The I Line will also connect riders to the RapidRide F Line, Sound Transit buses; Sounder Train; and local bus service, making it easier for people to travel to and from regional destinations and access a network of local bus routes. Metro is building RapidRide I Line to meet a critical need for improved north-south transportation options in south King County.
