Movement family
— With the end-of-quarter deadline approaching, our team is
tallying up the donations to our campaign, and I wanted to share something
I learned that moved me.

You see, the Federal Election Commission (FEC) requires campaign donors to
list their occupation information, and for my team, it’s inspiring to see
how the supporters of our movement are also the fabric of our communities.
The majority of donors who power this campaign this year are educators,
social workers, musicians, nurses, and engineers, to name a few.

In an environment where wealthy special interests, corporate PACs, and
billionaire tech CEOs dominate campaign spending, our movement is
demonstrating that you can successfully run a campaign powered by the
people.

It’s the librarians, gardeners, caregivers, writers, small business owners
and working people who drive this work and inform the policies we fight
for. I know who I am and whose I am — and I’ll always fight for the people
who got me here.

Whether you quite literally keep the trains moving (conductors, I see you)
or heal our babies and elders, our campaign is fighting to center the
communities who have been systemically excluded from our politics.

Do you know what’s not at the center of this movement? Corporate
interests. That’s because since day one of this campaign, we’ve refused
even a dime of corporate PAC money to keep special interests out of our
politics.

So we can advance our vision of a more just and equitable America.

Where everyone has access to the care they need.

Where everyone can afford to live in the community that raised them.

Where everyone can thrive as their full, authentic selves.

[ [link removed] ]We may all do something different for a living, but we share a vision
of a more just, equitable country where we can all thrive. With the
end-of-quarter deadline fast approaching, will you help us show the
strength and diversity of our grassroots campaign?

Onward,

Ayanna
