Dear A.,
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the United Nations General Assembly in New York this morning.
You can watch his full speech below:

Netanyahu rejected efforts by some Western countries to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state, saying:
"Israel will not allow you to shove a terror state down our throats. We will not commit national suicide because you don't have the guts to face down a hostile media and antisemitic mobs demanding Israel's blood."
He also delivered a message directly to the hostages in Gaza, having ordered the IDF to

set up loudspeakers in the strip so his speech could be heard after Hamas said that it was moving the hostages above ground to serve as human shields:
"We have not forgotten you, not even for a second. The people of Israel are with you. We will not falter, we will not rest, until we bring all of you home."
He also said that "if Hamas agrees to our demands, the war could end right now" and "a peaceful civilian authority could be established" in Gaza.
The prime minister wore a pin during his speech displaying a QR code for a website that includes images and videos of the October 7 massacre, to remind the world of the atrocities that Hamas committed and has promised to commit again. You can visit the website, which features graphic content, by

Netanyahu will soon head to Washington, where he is expected to meet with President Trump at the White House on Monday.
Trump

said today, "It's looking like we have a deal on Gaza... I think it's a deal that will get the hostages back. It's going to be a deal that will end the war... It's going to be peace."
The United States must continue to stand with Israel and increase the pressure on Hamas and its sponsors in Qatar, Turkey and Iran to free all the hostages.

Key quotes from the U.N. General Assembly
At the U.N. General Assembly this week, many world leaders used their platforms to baselessly attack our democratic ally Israel:
-
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian: "The map itself lays bare the true intentions of the Zionist regime, intentions that have of late been openly endorsed by its criminal prime minister. None in the world is secure from the aggressive machinations of this regime."
-
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan: "There is no war in Gaza. We cannot possibly talk about the presence of two sides in Gaza. Because in Gaza, because on one side there is a regular army with the most modern, most lethal weapons, and on the other hand, there are innocent civilians, innocent children. This is not a fight against terrorism. This is... genocide."
-
Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani: Israel is "engaged in a genocide, and its leader is proud of preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state, and he promises that such a state will never be established, and he takes pride in preventing peace with the Palestinians, and that he will prevent such peace in the future."
-
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas: "Our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip have been facing a war of genocide, destruction, starvation, and displacement waged by the Israeli occupation forces... What Israel is carrying out is not just aggression—it is a war crime and a crime against humanity, witnessed and documented, and it will be recorded in history books and in the conscience of humanity as one of the most horrific chapters of human tragedy in the 20th and 21st centuries."

This is the second Israeli strike in Lebanon this week, after the IDF eliminated a Hezbollah terrorist in southern Lebanon.
The United States must increase the pressure on the Lebanese government to fully disarm Hezbollah, and continue to support Israel’s action to defend itself and enforce the November 2024 ceasefire agreement

Iran is also suspected of carrying out an

undeclared missile test last week. While Iran has not formally acknowledged any test, one Iranian lawmaker claimed that the regime tested a possible intercontinental ballistic missile.
Meanwhile, U.N. sanctions on Iran are set to officially go back into effect this weekend, after the U.N. Security Council voted last week to snapback sanctions on the regime.
