Last Wednesday, I had the opportunity to speak to the Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce for their Washington, D.C. Fly-In. I gave them updates on what's happening on Capitol Hill, permit reform, and, unfortunately, the reality of facing a potential Schumer Shutdown. No one wins in a shutdown, but the ball is in the Democrats' court. It takes 60 votes on any funding bill, and we only have 53 GOP Senators. They have a decision to make: get on board and keep the government open, or shut it down and hurt Americans over their hatred for Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, I spoke to Oklahoma State legislators at the White House during their State Leadership Conference. President Trump loves Oklahoma, and often proudly shares the fact that he won all 77 counties all three times he ran for president. I also made sure that our state legislators had the opportunity to visit with Vice President JD Vance by Air Force 2 later that day. In our meetings, we discussed Oklahoma’s key role in America’s future, unity among state leaders to strengthen our advocacy, and the critical role of local and federal partnerships to fight for the Sooner State. |
