September is a Federal Election Commission filing deadline month. After September 30th, we close the books on this fundraising quarter, and we’ll be legally required to report our numbers.
That means whatever we raise – or don’t raise – becomes public knowledge. And you can bet Trump’s political machine will be watching.
Let me tell you why.
Days ago, Donald Trump – from the Oval Office – called me and Tim Kaine out by name, attacking our record delivering for Virginia. He’s upset because we won’t hesitate to call out his administration for their corruption, chaos, and downright incompetence.
Trump’s meltdown comes on the heels of Laura Loomer’s – Trump’s right-hand internet troll, conspiracy theorist, and 9/11-denier – who spent days pummeling us with attacks online, even going so far as to call for me to be “removed from office.”
This is the pattern: first the attacks start. Then the super PACs show up. And with Trump’s billionaires ready to spend whatever it takes to defeat me and expand Republican control in Washington, we need to be prepared to fight back.
We only have a few days left to reach our $100,000 end-of-quarter goal. If we come up short, Trump’s allies could see it as an opportunity to flood Virginia with cash.
