Last month, catastrophic earthquakes shook Afghanistan to its core. Without food, water, shelter and health care, more children will perish. Please, raise your voice for them. [[link removed]]

John,
Pari* was nine months pregnant when an earthquake struck her village in the dead of night. Seconds later, her home crumbled to rubble.
With roads blocked by massive rockfalls, she had no choice but to walk six grueling hours to the nearest displacement camp.
Baby Mansoor* was born inside a canvas tent not long after.
“We wanted to be in our own home,” Pari says. “Now, we’re living in an emergency situation. That’s why I feel so sad.”
John, Afghanistan’s health clinics can’t keep up with the demand. Food and clothing are buried beneath debris – and still, Congress refuses to send help. [[link removed]]
DEMAND SUPPORT [[link removed]]
Even before these earthquakes, families were battling hunger, poverty and extreme inequality.
Now, half a million people need urgent humanitarian assistance – on top of the 22.9 million who already did.
But the U.S. government ended all lifesaving aid to Afghanistan in April.
Parents like Pari are pleading for support. “I hope my newborn will grow up with a home, a school, a proper road,” she tells us.
John, every day of inaction puts more children in peril. It’s time for Congress to step up and save lives. [[link removed]]
Thanks for speaking out,
