Republicans are already getting their way in Texas, drawing rigged maps without voter input to end competitive elections as we know them and silence Democrats across the state.

Now, they’re taking that blueprint to Kansas.

There are 435 districts in the House of Representatives. But right now, there is not a single district whose future is more up in the air than Kansas’ 3rd. Sharice doesn’t know what’s going to happen. Kansas Republicans don’t know what’s going to happen. And frankly, even Donald Trump doesn’t know what’s going to happen.

But here’s what we do know:

This team has held the line against the Kansas GOP’s gerrymandering schemes before, and we can do it again. Because grassroots supporters like you are far stronger than any politician, or any lines on a map.

But that doesn’t mean we can wait until the new maps are official to take action. Here’s why:

Right now, Kansas Republicans in the legislature are doing everything they can to move in silence. Frankly, they’ve gotten so confident, they’ve allowed their plans to slip out a few times — and their strategy is now clear: They want to act quickly and catch us unprepared when they finally make their gerrymander official. We can’t let that happen.
