Dear John,
Here's how to stay engaged this coming week!

350 Milwaukee

350 Madison Meeting
Monday, July 6, 7 - 8pm CDT

Would you like to learn how to put the public back into the public utility system?

Our speaker, Gary Radloff, will invite us to envision an electric energy system that is energy efficient, equitable, diverse, powered by citizens and dominated by clean energy technology. He argues that this can happen with energy policy regulatory reform.

Can you take a 10 minutes to write a few sentences saying you oppose the Enbridge Line 5 relocation, click [email protected], and paste the sentences?  It doesn't need to be a treatise.

Read more at Enbridge Projects in Wisconsin - Wisconsin DNR

The DNR held an EIS [Environmental Impact Study] scoping hearing for the proposed Line 5 relocation project on July 1, 2020. A recording of the hearing can be found here.

A public comment period is currently open for the proposed Line 5 relocation project. Written comments can be submitted by email comments to [email protected], or mail comments to "Line 5 Comments EA/7," 101 South Webster Street, Madison, WI 53707. All written comments must be submitted or postmarked by no later than July 11, 2020.

Should you be concerned?
D###ed right you should be!  Enbridge, Inc. (a Canadian Company) owns and operates a liquid petroleum pipeline system that spans approximately 3,200 miles across North America and has been in operation since 1950’s.  That pipeline now crosses the land of The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and they've decided to kick Enbridge out, so Enbridge wants to build 46 miles of pipeline that skirts the Bad River Band's land and permanently disturbing 185 waterways and 30 acres of wetlands.

Enbridge's poor environmental history means their pipeline will remain a threat the whole watershed in the area.  Read the search results for Enbridge leaks history. - if nothing else just read the headlines...
