We wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for Jamaal and let him know that WFP supporters have his back.

John,

Our hard work paid off: Jamaal Bowman won his primary in New York's 16th Congressional District, the latest in a wave of WFP victories across the entire country.

We can't wait for him to join fellow WFP champions Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib in Congress — and to see how he will shake up the status quo.

But first, we wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for Jamaal and let him know that WFP supporters have his back. Will you add your name to our card congratulating Jamaal Bowman on his primary victory?

Candidates like Jamaal aren’t "supposed" to win races like this one.

His opponent was a 30-year incumbent who had corporate Democrats, Trump donors, and even a Republican super PAC on his side. Combined, they spent a staggering $5.2 million to try and save this seat for the billionaire class.

But none of that was enough to divide our growing progressive, multiracial movement of working people who ended up powering Jamaal Bowman to an upset victory.

Now, we're going to send a new member of Congress to D.C. next year who will lead the fight for a Green New Deal, for Medicare for All, for universal childcare and free public college.

Someone who will lead the fight for what Jamaal himself this week called a "third period of reconstruction" that will open "discussions around reparations, discussions around reallocating resources from our military and our police departments toward public health, and massive investments in infrastructure and public health in areas that have been historically neglected."1

Jamaal is the type of leader we need, and he's already taking bold and courageous stands to win the future we are collectively fighting for.

Let's let him know we've got his back:

Please sign our card to congratulate Jamaal on his primary victory and let him know that you have his back through the general election in November and beyond!

Thank you for fighting with us,
