Thanks to the generosity of Changemakers like you, we achieved our goal of raising $24,000 to repair the broken food system!
As a result of our relentless campaigns, Tyson recently took an important step forward for chickens. During this campaign, they announced that they plan to end cruel live-shackle slaughter in four of their poultry plants over the next four years, adding to their other two plants that have already ended this horrific practice. This means that over 300,000,000 chickens every single year will no longer risk having their feet torn off or being boiled alive. Although there are still millions more chickens for whom we must end this torture, the momentum is building!
Chickens raised for meat make up the vast majority of land animals in the food industry. They have been bred to live agonizing lives from the moment they are born until the moment they die. But when major producers like Tyson finally commit to better standards, it sets the stage to trigger an industry-wide reform, positively impacting billions of animals each year.
We can’t stop now. The pressure we’ve put on these meat giants is working. Meaningful change is within reach, but we can’t do it without you. If you’d like to join the fight, it’s not too late! Every dollar donated moves us a step closer to a world without animal abuse.
