That’s why we need bold local leadership to clear the path. By streamlining solar, states and communities can democratize energy access, making clean power available to everyone -- no matter how wealthy or well-connected.

• Limit fees and restrictions on solar installations by states, cities, or HOAs.

• Eliminate permits altogether for small, safe “plug-in” systems like balcony solar

• Expand community solar projects so renters, students, and low-income families can share in the benefits.

Most importantly, these steps will allow people to take control of their own energy future, instead of being locked into Trump’s carbon chaos.

Across the country, forward-looking towns and cities are already proving that streamlined solar saves money, improves public health, and reduces climate risks. But too many communities remain trapped under outdated utility and permitting systems -- keeping families dependent on polluters while blocking progress.
