This month, Senator Warner has been absolutely pummeled by Republican attacks.
First it was Laura Loomer – a white nationalist, conspiracy theorist, and 9/11-denier – who launched a full blown smear campaign against him online. She called for Mark to be removed from office. She demanded he be tried for treason. She tried to label him a “liar” and “communist FRAUD!” She even pushed the Trump administration to CANCEL Warner’s routine meeting with national intelligence professionals (and they did!).
Then, Donald Trump had a complete meltdown in the Oval Office and came directly after Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, discrediting their record delivering for Virginians, calling them “bad news” and “bad senators.” Oh, and this meltdown was on television.
Look, no amount of name-calling or mudslinging will stop Senator Warner from serving Virginians.
But these attacks do mean that Trump is signaling his allied super PACs to target this race.
So we need to be prepared. It’s only a matter of time before GOP money starts flowing into Virginia to defeat Mark. That’s why this end-of-quarter deadline is particularly important – just like they’ve been tracking our every move all month, Republicans will be watching our campaign to see what we raise this FEC filing deadline.
They’re looking for any sign of weakness to capitalize on.
That’s why we’re asking: can you pitch in ahead of our end-of-quarter fundraising deadline to prepare Senator Warner for the expensive reelection race next year? We can’t fend off Republican attack ads, protect this seat, and take back the Senate without your support.
