John -- I am respectfully asking you to contribute $5 to our campaign before the big FEC deadline on September 30, just five days from now. 

It’s important for you to know that this deadline is not some gimmick. All campaigns are legally required to report how much they’ve raised to the Federal Election Commission. The numbers are public information, meaning the Trump administration, Republicans, and the media will be looking to see how much strength and enthusiasm we have behind our movement. 

There is so much at stake, John -- for the future of South Carolina and our country -- and it’s why I’m counting on you to help us report the biggest number possible:

• FIRST FEC deadline since Republicans began pushing a mid-decade redraw of South Carolina’s congressional map and GOP lawmakers in other states are moving ahead with their plans to carve up communities and silence voices.


• LAST FEC deadline before voters in key states like California, New Jersey, and New York head to the polls for the first major elections since Trump returned to the White House.

As long as Trump and Republicans have power, they will use it to pit people against each other and undermine our rights and democracy.

We need to be competitive in every state and that’s where you can help, John. I’m personally asking: Will you contribute $5 before the FEC deadline to help elect leaders who put people over politics?
