Democrats are why Seattle can’t have nice things — not even Starbucks in its own hometown.

Lattes, Layoffs, and Liberal Failures
Seattle Democrats have managed the impossible: running Starbucks out of its own hometown. The once-flagship Capitol Hill Reserve Roastery — the crown jewel of the coffee empire — is closing for good, along with the SoDo Reserve location. The company blames the inability to create the kind of safe, thriving environment customers expect. Translation: Democrat policies on crime, homelessness, and taxes have brewed up a toxic blend that even Starbucks can’t stomach.
Starbucks is slashing 900 jobs, closing dozens of stores across North America, and downsizing its footprint for the first time in years. That’s a massive red flag — and in Democrat-run Seattle, it’s the inevitable result of failed leadership. Businesses can’t thrive when city hall enables shoplifting sprees, allows tent encampments to take over sidewalks, and treats law-abiding taxpayers like ATMs. Read more at MyNorthwest.com.

Bob Ferguson’s $200,000 Witch Hunt Goes Bust
Three years. Seven subpoenas. Twenty thousand documents. Countless depositions. And what did Bob Ferguson’s Attorney General’s Office find in its crusade against the Second Amendment Foundation? Absolutely nothing.
This wasn’t about “consumer protection” or “charitable law compliance.” It was about politics — plain and simple. Ferguson, now governor, tried to kneecap a national pro-Second Amendment group with an invasive, baseless fishing expedition that drained over $200,000 and thousands of man-hours from SAF. All that time, all that money, all that intimidation — and no wrongdoing found.
Democrats call it “justice.” Everyone else calls it harassment. Ferguson wasted taxpayer resources chasing his anti-gun agenda while Washington’s real problems — crime, homelessness, and failing schools — festered. If this is his idea of leadership, no wonder the state is spiraling. Read more at Center Square.

Bridges Collapse, Budgets Balloon, and Democrats Still Can’t Connect the Dots
Washington’s highways are literally falling apart. In just the last few months, trucks and corrosion have shut down major bridges on SR 167, SR 410, SR 165, and SR 169 — grinding traffic to a halt and forcing drivers into miles-long detours. And yet, despite a $15 billion transportation budget, more than 230 bridges remain in “poor condition” while hundreds more are overdue for maintenance.
How did we get here? Easy: Democrats decided it was more important to spend billions chasing their climate vanity projects than to keep bridges standing. Former WSDOT Secretary Roger Millar admitted the system was on a “glide-path to failure,” but Olympia kept shoveling cash into “resilience plans” and carbon schemes instead of actual repairs. Meanwhile, drivers already paying the highest gas prices in the country are forced to swallow another 45 cents per gallon in hidden carbon taxes — revenue Democrats refuse to use for fixing roads and bridges because it might “make driving easier.”
The result: traffic jams, dangerous detours, skyrocketing repair costs, and a state highway system that looks like it belongs in a third-world country. All while Democrats pat themselves on the back for “equity” and “emissions reduction.” Read more at the Washington Policy Center.

From Smears to Bullets: Democrats’ Deadly Rhetoric
Charlie Kirk’s assassination wasn’t just a random act of violence — it was political. The killer literally etched “Hey Fascist! Catch!” on a bullet. And where do people get the idea their neighbors are “fascists”? From Democrats like Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, who throws the slur around like confetti. She’s smeared her GOP opponent Joe Kent, smeared Trump voters, and even branded her own movement “anti-fascist.” Words matter — and when elected officials casually dehumanize half the country, someone eventually takes them literally.
But the hypocrisy doesn’t stop there. When Congress voted to condemn Kirk’s murder, you’d think that would be unanimous. Not for Rep. Pramila Jayapal, who voted against condemning political violence — then lied about why. If the roles were reversed, the media would be in full-blown meltdown. Instead, Democrats get a free pass while their rhetoric fuels real bloodshed. Read more at Seattle Red.
