HHSC Hosts Deaf Awareness Month Art Show on September 30

The public is invited by HHSC to attend their Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Deaf Awareness Month Art Show. The theme is “Expressions via Visual Art – Where Silence Speaks in Color, Form, and Movement”.

The event will feature a curated art show highlighting the creativity and perspectives of people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

What: Deaf Awareness Month Art Show

When: Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Where: John H. Winters Building, Public Hearing Room 125, 701 W. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751

Registration: Register to attend the event.

Schedule

2 p.m. – Artwork and written descriptions on display.

2:30 p.m. – Each artist will share their background and the meaning behind their artwork.

3 p.m. – Continued viewing and community connection.
