THIS IS OUR NEW YORK 2025 GALA
Tuesday, October 14, 2025
The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, NYC
6:00 PM Cocktail Reception | 7:00 PM Dinner & Program

Join us on Tuesday, October 14, to celebrate the leaders and organizations who are shaping a more just and equitable New York.

At the heart of the This is Our New York Gala ([link removed]) is a celebration of all who stand up for immigrant justice. This year, we are thrilled to recognize three extraordinary honorees whose work embodies our shared mission.
LEGACY AWARD

NYC Council Speaker Adrienne E. Adams

We are proud to honor Speaker Adrienne E. Adams, the first Black Speaker of the New York City Council with the Legacy Award. Throughout her career, Speaker Adams has been a powerful advocate for immigrant New Yorkers, driving forward policies that promote equity, dignity, and opportunity for all. Her visionary leadership in our city is a testament to the power of community-driven change.
CHAMPION AWARD

New York State United Teachers

This year, we recognize the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) for their unwavering partnership and advocacy with the Champion Award. As a union representing educators and staff across New York, NYSUT has been a key ally in the fight for immigrant justice, organizing alongside communities to protect students and their families and to ensure they have the resources they need to thrive, regardless of immigration status.
MEMBER OF THE YEAR
[link removed]

We are thrilled to name the Caribbean Equality Project as our Member of the Year. The Caribbean Equality Project is a New York-based organization that empowers and advocates for the Caribbean LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities. Their tireless work at the intersection of immigration and LGBTQ+ rights has created a powerful example of what it means to build a more inclusive and equitable movement.

Thank you to our incredible honorees, and thank you to every person who stands up for immigrant rights. We are honored to be in this movement alongside you.

We look forward to celebrating with you soon!
