Right now, Donald Trump is actively threatening Chicago, the state of Illinois and many of our personal freedoms.

This is not a time for appeasement, and we can’t treat this as a passing tantrum. We need a unified Illinois delegation in Washington filled with good-hearted, professional leaders.

In our two and a half years working together, Eric has been one of those leaders. We even just worked together to bring more job opportunities to Rockford, despite some of the decisions coming from the White House.

Unfortunately, as a Democrat in a purple district, Eric’s seat is under threat: Some political pundits have even called IL-17 the most competitive House race in Illinois.

We cannot afford to let his seat fall into GOP hands, but the reality is that outside spending will be coming, aiming to weaken Illinois’s resistance. Your support will be critical to his team’s strategy to keep the GOP at bay and keep IL-17 blue.
