My favorite part of Fourth of July weekend has always been walking in one of the many local parades and celebrating our Independence Day with you. While not being able to see you in-person and walk in the parades, these events will certainly be different, but the reason we celebrate the Fourth of July will be the same.
In 1776, people from all different walks of life came together, stood up to tyranny and fought for their rights. Without them and people all throughout our history working tirelessly for a better future and democracy, we would not be the incredible country we are today.
I’m proud to count you and me in that history of people working for a better future. I hope you do too!
The Fourth of July is a day that as Americans, we can all be proud of the incredible progress we’ve made towards creating a nation in which “all men and women are created equal”.
Because of you, I have the privilege of representing our community in Lansing, and being part of this progress.
We have accomplished a lot together, and I know that with your support, we can do even more!

We hope that you are well and healthy during this very difficult time. We have cancelled our in-person fundraising events until we can meet again safely, which makes email fundraising more important than ever. We know that not everyone is able to financially support our campaign right now, but for those who can, every dollar given will go directly to finding innovative new ways to communicate with voters. We won’t let this virus stop us from making positive change in Lansing, and we hope you’ll stick with us however you can. Thank you for being a part of our team.
