I hope this message finds you well. Before the weekend, Nancy asked me to reach out to our supporters with a quick update about the counting of absentee ballots in our NY-01 Democratic Primary.

On Wednesday, the Suffolk County Board of Elections (BOE) began counting absentee ballots. They started with ballots in the 2nd Congressional District, and yesterday, they finished counting those ballots.

On Monday, the BOE will begin counting the roughly 36,000 absentee ballots in our race, NY-01, and if they maintain this week’s pace, we should have results by the end of next week.

Our models show that this will be an exceedingly close race, and we remain cautiously optimistic that Nancy will be the Democratic nominee to take on Lee Zeldin. Regardless, the best thing that we can do to flip NY-01 is to facilitate a fair, comprehensive, and expeditious counting of the absentee ballots. That is what Nancy has done and will continue to do.

Nancy and our team will keep you posted as the results come in. In the meantime, have a wonderful Fourth of July.
