Here in the Pacific Northwest, we are forest people. We know that spending time in the forest improves our health and wellbeing. And we know that healthy forests mean cool, clear streams for fish.

People and salmon depend on forests here in Washington. That means that the leaders we elect to be in charge of forests matter a lot. 

Last year, thanks to supporters like you, we helped elect Dave Upthegrove as Commissioner of Public Lands. Last month, Commissioner Upthegrove took a bold stand for the health of our forests by announcing that 77,000 acres of older forests will be protected.

This is the largest forest conservation action in Washington in a generation.

This huge win shows why it’s important that we keep our state leaders accountable to helping people and nature grow strong together.
