Great Lakes Drinking Water Conference, Traverse City, Michigan, May 20-21, 2026

You are invited to present at the Great Lakes Drinking Water Conference in Traverse City, May 20-21, 2026!

Proposal submission deadline: October 26, 2025 

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy is seeking proposals to present at the *Great Lakes Drinking Water Conference [ [link removed] ]*, taking place at the Park Place Hotel in Traverse City, May 20-21. 

The conference intends to bring together professionals, including community water supply personnel, local officials, community representatives, partners from the local, state, and federal levels, academia, consultants, service providers, source water protection partners, and others from the Great Lakes Region. The purpose of this event is to provide a forum where drinking water professionals can come together to learn from one another, get an indication of future trends and requirements, showcase best management practices, and find ways to partner together to maximize effectiveness and efficiency in the management of their drinking water.

Interested presenters are invited to submit one or more proposals for oral presentation. The proposal submission deadline is *October 26, 2025.* Conference sessions will include topic areas as shown below.  Please review the topics to consider the category where your presentation would best fit.

Authors may suggest additional topics that are not on the list, but they must fit a general topic area related to the theme of providing safe drinking water. Presentations including case studies that apply to public water supplies ranging from very large community water supplies to the smallest noncommunity supplies are welcome.

Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by mid-January.
