Instead of addressing the high cost of health care, Republicans in Congress and President Trump passed a budget bill this summer that slashes funding for our health care, creates more barriers to coverage, and enacts policies that will directly increase premiums and out-of-pocket costs for millions.
Yet Congress can still act to prevent costs from skyrocketing for millions of families by permanently extending the ACA's enhanced premium tax credits.

New Resources from Families USA
Today, we released two new resources that can be helpful in making clear how important the enhanced premium tax credits are to people.
In this blog, we highlight the stories of people who benefit from the enhanced credits. This includes Amy, who runs a small print publishing business in New Castle, Colorado, with her husband. Utilizing enhanced premium tax credits, her monthly premiums dropped from a staggering $923 to just $1.57.
And this fact sheet details how the enhanced credits are particularly impactful for working class Americans, especially those with low incomes.
