(Augusta - September 25, 2025) - One year into a successful campaign providing a new option for travelers between Lewiston, Auburn, and Portland, MaineDOT is looking for input on The LAP service. A survey is now live to help gather insights into why Mainers choose the LAP for their daily commute and identify areas for improvement. Since launching on July 22, 2024, the LAP has provided thousands of Mainers with a convenient and reliable public transportation option. Over the past 12 months, the service has carried 23,555 riders, averaging more than 1,900 passengers per month and reaching a peak of 2,594 riders in August 2025.
