Earlier this week, clinics across the country that provide or refer patients for abortion were stripped of millions of dollars in critical funding under the Trump Administration’s harmful Domestic Gag Rule.
This funding is meant to allow clinics to provide lifesaving care to under- and uninsured individuals through the Title X family planning program, but it has been weaponized by the Trump Administration in its efforts to restrict our constitutional right to access safe, legal reproductive health care services.

The administration's Domestic Gag Rule is reckless and discriminatory. We are fighting hard to defeat it. Last week, we appealed our case against this rule to the First Circuit Court of Appeals after a U.S. District Court Judge denied our request to block the rule in the state of Maine on behalf of Maine Family Planning, the sole Title X grantee in Maine and the largest reproductive health care provider in the state. Implementing the rule would put 85% of Maine abortion clinics in jeopardy. The Court’s refusal to block the rule from taking effect places the health of countless Mainers at risk.
