A few ago, I told you that more than a thousand veterans
are without homes in San Diego and I promised you that we would
be taking action.

I am proud to announce that I have introduced a bill to
expand protections in the Fair Housing Act to ban discrimination
against low-income veterans. Will you add your name to support
the Fair Housing Improvement Act?

Under current law, landlords can discriminate against anyone
who uses federal vouchers to pay rent -- including families
struggling to make ends meet or veterans.

This is unacceptable.

By including these protections under the Fair Housing Act,
we can ensure that no one will be denied housing because of a
federal voucher or history of military service.

We've received support from my colleagues like Adam Schiff,
but I know a wave of grassroots support can push this bill across
the finish line and onto the floor for a vote.
