John, I'd like you to
meet Asif. Born a strong gray mule, Asif was faithful in his daily
labor and indispensable to his owner... but that all came
crashing down when Asif suffered a life-threatening injury.
Please help us heal more working animals like Asif with a gift to the
American Fondouk today.

Asif and his owner relied on one another to keep the owner's family
alive and fed. But with money so unbearably tight, the owner was
forced to outfit Asif with a used saddle that - unbeknownst to
the owner - scraped the mule's skin, resulting in a
life-threatening abscess.

When I first laid eyes on this gallant mule, it was obvious that he
was in agonizing shape. For two weeks, we healed Asif's excruciatingly
inflamed and infected wound. Then, with the worst of the emergency
behind him, we went back in to remove dead and dying tissue and bone.
After five long months of major attention, treatment, and healing, we
joyfully reunited Asif with his family.
Every day, working animals like Asif are brought to us. Last year
alone, we treated a total of 1,800 working animals. That's why -
with so many families unable to afford healthcare for the animals they
rely so heavily on - our ability to provide free, 24/7
veterinary care is critical to our community... And you can help.

All too often, working animals like Asif pay the price of poverty. But
with your support, that can all change. Please make a gift today to
help us ease an animal's suffering, restore him to good health, and
give hope to the family that relies on him.

P.S. When Asif first came to us, there was no telling how his
situation might develop. But without our team's expert care, I know
exactly how it would have ended... As the only board-certified
veterinary surgeon in Morocco, I see cases like Asif's every single
day - and I know firsthand what gifts like yours can accomplish.
Support the American Fondouk today, and help us heal the working
animals who keep Moroccan families alive and well.
