Dear
Friend,
Next Tuesday, September 30th, is our annual day of giving — UNITE to CURE Epilepsy! More than ever before, CURE Epilepsy and our community of supporters must accelerate life-saving epilepsy research.
This year, we’re taking you to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Neural Signal Processing and Modeling Lab to meet Dr. Rachel June Smith, CURE Epilepsy Taking Flight grantee, and her team of early career researchers. They are working to localize seizures and develop brain stimulation techniques that may one day cure focal epilepsy. Their work is urgent — and it relies on your generosity. With federal funding for epilepsy research in jeopardy, supporting CURE Epilepsy ensures funding opportunities for epilepsy researchers and keeps innovative science moving forward.
Next week, you will hear directly from Dr. Smith and members of her lab about their current work as well as the bold questions they seek to answer on the road to a cure. Their work is powerful. Their goals are ambitious. And their success depends on you investing in real change to save lives.
On September 30th, be a part of funding research towards a cure. There are three ways you can help:
💜 Donate early to double your impact and encourage friends and family to do the same
📲 Share our posts to your social media community
✉️ Forward this email with a note about what a cure would mean to you
