John, thank you.

Despite a challenging few months, this campaign pulled together in the final moments of the fundraising quarter and surpassed our fundraising goal before the FEC filing deadline on Tuesday night . I can’t tell you how much it means to me to see us succeed like that.

Hitting this goal was never about the numbers: it was about making sure we have the resources to keep our campaign to Flip the 3rd strong and energized between now and the November election, so we can move our community forward and give it the leadership it deserves.

Because of you, we’re the “hottest race in Washington” and have been able to outraise our opponent the past three quarters – I have a feeling we did it again this past quarter!

We’ve still got a long way to go, including our primary election on August 4th, but with all of you by my side, I couldn’t be more hopeful for the days ahead here in Southwest Washington.
