Dear Missio Alliance Friends,

I’ve been dreaming about ([link removed]) [link removed] to the Church ([link removed]) , our new long-form series, for over a year. The simple frame of a letter has captivated me: letters carry story, intention, and connection. Think of Dr. King’s Letter from Birmingham Jail or even Taylor Swift’s Dear John. Letters have a way of shaping culture and imagination.

In the New Testament, 21 of the 27 books are letters, written to faith communities wrestling with the cultural issues of their day. If the Spirit spoke powerfully then to Christ-followers through these words, what might God be saying to the Church today through ours?

What needs to be said? Spoken forth? Exhorted? Encouraged? Instructed? Critiqued in love? Prophetically re-imagined? Bravely told in truth? What encouragement, critiques, or prophetic truths need to be voiced at this moment?

This is the heart of this series. Every Friday through the rest of 2025, we’ll publish a new letter that dares to pause, reflect, and speak with courage. We invite you to read, reflect, and perhaps even write your own.
