I got this message yesterday.

Having thick skin is part of running for Congress. I knew what I was getting into when I stepped into this campaign.

But every time I read messages like this, it reminds me of the pain and suffering so many immigrants face in this country because of bigotry and xenophobia, much of it carried out by Trump from the most powerful position in America.

From his efforts to repeal DACA to ripping children from their families at the border to the Muslim Ban to supporting I.C.E, he has used executive powers to target and subject immigrants to endless pain and suffering.

Receiving messages like this only strengthens my resolve to win this campaign and fight for immigrants in Congress.

So chip in to support our campaign and let’s show people like this what a “brainless immigrant” can do — become a member of Congress.

In the face of this kind of hatred and ignorance, we need fierce leadership. My opponent has not only failed to consistently stand up for immigrants, he has vocally supported I.C.E and even voted to criminalize immigrants through Kate’s Law.

We can’t afford to give an inch to Trump on this issue, or any issue. Lives hang in the balance.

Together, we will drown out bigotry and xenophobia. Contribute to our campaign so I can continue this fight in Congress.
