John,
We have a quick but important update for you on our fight against animal cruelty and our matching gift campaign. To date, supporters like you have given generously and have exceeded our $75,000 matching gift goal to help combat puppy mills, shut down industries that exploit animals, hold animal abusers accountable, and win justice for animal victims.
Thank you!
However, due to the amazing generosity of supporters like you, two donors are contributing an additional $11,000 in matching funds to extend the match through July 13 to continue our fight against animal cruelty. But please don't wait — until we see the day when animals are given the legal protections they need and deserve, we must continue to fight for justice! |

In fact, we recently wrote to you about Winnie, one of multiple puppies who got sick and died in an abusive puppy trafficking scheme perpetrated by Southern California puppy brokers, the Kenneys. Our lawsuit against the Kenneys accuses them of falsifying puppies’ health records, lying about their ages and breeds, and even trying to alter the puppies’ appearance — all to increase profits. We’re fighting now to shut down the Kenneys’ cruel operation and save other puppies from suffering as Winnie did, and we need you with us.
At the same time, we’re engaged in more than 70 other active legal matters, including a lawsuit against Petland, alleging that the national pet store chain is selling sick, puppy-mill puppies at premium prices based on fraudulent health guarantees. Petland knows they’re selling puppies prone to illnesses and other health concerns, due to their sourcing from cruel puppy mills, but the store certifies the animals to be healthy — as claimed by Petland’s veterinarians. Your donation today can go twice as far to help us hold Petland accountable and give more animals a fighting chance against cruelty. |
With so much at stake for dogs and puppies, and all abused and neglected animals, please take a moment to help save lives and win the fight for justice for animals. Thanks so much for all you do to protect and defend animals. |
For the animals,
|
