Dear John,

Did you know that "do not fear" / "do not be
afraid" is the most common command in the Bible?

Sometimes this might seem easy for us - but right now fear is all
around us, fueled by a news media whose ratings go up as more people
grow anxious.

And fear leads to angry confrontations in grocery stores and on the
streets, abuse of power, shaming those with different points of view,
and ruining small businesses and people's lives. As we've
seen across the country, fear leads to a loss of freedom ... both
for the one who is afraid and those within that person's orbit
of influence, which is many, if you happen to be the governor or
mayor.

But it doesn't have to be this way, and followers of Jesus know
that better than anyone. We are called out of fear and into faith; out
of captivity and into truth.

We must proclaim this in both word and deed ... as loudly and
consistently as we can. Now is the time for the church to proclaim
freedom for the captive and faith for the one afraid.

At Minnesota Family Council we see this as a critical part of our
mission. Yes, we're about life, religious freedom, parental and
student rights, but these are values that spring from our central
belief that all human lives have God-given dignity - regardless of
stage of development, age, or race - and that Jesus came to set
us free from fear, bondage and death. And we have a powerful platform
to spread that message.

We can't do that without you though. Without your support, MFC
doesn't exist. First, we'd have to cut all the programs
and resources we use to get out our message and effect change -
including our comprehensive plans to mobilize faithful voters in the
next election.

Next to go would be the people who are at the heart of this ministry.
That would be a sad day indeed.

I have faith that it won't come to that because I believe in
Jehovah Jireh (the God who provides). I believe in the generosity and
steadfastness of our supporters. I believe in you.

If you are able, will you help turn faith into sight with a gift of
$25.00, $50.00, $100.00 or even more, as the Lord leads? Thank you, in
advance, for whatever you're able to offer.

You have two options to give. Click the first green
"Donate" button below to make a tax-deductible gift today
