Wow.

After tallying up all the contributions that came in to our campaign for U.S. Senate over the past few days, my team and I are proud to announce we successfully reached our $200,000 grassroots fundraising goal before Tuesday night’s FEC deadline!

You folks really came through: Not only did we surpass our ambitious goal, we saw our best month of grassroots, online fundraising ever since we launched this campaign last November!

In what started out as a very challenging month, our ability to come together and overcome the obstacles truly says something. It’s clear that there is growing energy and momentum building behind our campaign to move Mississippi forward.

We’re already making big changes here in Mississippi. Our state flag with the confederate battle emblem came down last week and will be replaced with a new flag that doesn’t include that hateful symbol.

We can create even more change together by defeating Cindy Hyde-Smith in November. If I am elected to the U.S. Senate, I will work toward expanding affordable and high-quality health care, education, and economic opportunities across our state, making Mississippi a place every single person can be proud to call home.

Hitting our big grassroots fundraising goal was a big step forward for us. Let’s keep moving, step by step, toward victory this November and a better, brighter Mississippi for years to come.
