Animal Outlook Sues Salmon Factory Farm
In 2019, Animal Outlook conducted the first-ever undercover exposé ([link removed][UNIQID]) of salmon aquaculture in the United States, a cruel and often overlooked industry. Local authorities declined to pursue criminal charges against the company, Cooke Aquaculture, despite overwhelming evidence of animal cruelty.
Now, we're suing Cooke for violations of the Consumer Protection Procedures Act. Read more about our newest legal action here ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

Farm fact
Salmon raised on large farms are often crowded by the tens of thousands in filthy tanks, forced to swim in their own waste. These horrible conditions are perfect breeding grounds for all kinds of diseases.

The Dangers of Letting Animal Ag Operate in Secrecy
Animal Outlook's Investigations Associate Scott David talks with Sentient Media about his time as an undercover investigator, and highlights the dangers of "ag-gag" laws. These laws, like the one recently passed in Ontario, Canada, seek to silence whistleblowers and keep the cruelty of Big Ag behind closed doors.
Check out Scott's hard-hitting stories ([link removed][UNIQID]) from his time in the field as an undercover investigator.
Fun fact
Yukon River Chinook salmon migrate over 1,800 miles from the Bering Sea through Alaska to their spawning grounds in Canada. That's a further distance than the drive from Washington, D.C. to Denver, CO.

Big Dairy's Climate Footprint is as Big as the UK's
According to a new analysis from the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (IATP) ([link removed][UNIQID]) , the dairy industry has the same climate impact as the entire United Kingdom. This follows a similar analysis from the IATP in 2015 that found the emissions portfolios of meat and dairy companies to be greater than those of some of the world’s largest oil companies, like ExxonMobil and Shell.
