Calf on His Way to Veal Farm Finds Sanctuary Instead
|
While most people oppose the cruelty of veal production, few realize that this industry exists because of the surplus male calves that are an inevitable byproduct of the dairy industry.
Luckily, Leigh was able to escape this cruel fate, when the truck shuttling him from a dairy farm to a veal processing plant spilled him onto the highway. Now, he stands as an ambassador for the millions of calves just like him who pass through the industry unnoticed every year.
