A Personal Message from the Desk of...
John Philip Sousa IV

My Friend and Fellow Patriotic American,

A very close colleague of mine was telling me the story of
centenarian Sidney Walton yesterday with great emotion and
passion and urged me to visit his website: www.GoSidneyGo.com

I did, and let me tell you since I learned about Sidney Walton
and his goal, I can't get Sidney out of my head...

...or my heart!

I won't be surprised if you have not heard of Sidney's "No
Regrets" Tour, because before yesterday, neither had I. So keep
reading!

Sidney was born in the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1919, and
stayed there until joining the Army in March of 1941 to fight
Hitler nine months before Pearl Harbor.

He fought in China, Burma, and the India Theater (CBI), 34th
Infantry, 8th Division, and returned to the U.S. after the war
being discharged at the rank of corporal.

After his service he became a geology teacher at Duke University
and North Carolina State University, and married school teacher
Rena Bell in 1954. He and Rena then moved to San Diego in 1960.

Now 101 years old, Sidney still resides near San Diego.

But then in 2018, at 99 years old, Sidney set out on a "No
Regrets" tour to make up for his life-long regret of missing a
chance to meet some of the last Civil War Veterans and to raise
awareness of how few WWII veterans are left, tell the story of
the "Greatest Generation" and offer Americans a
once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet one of the few remaining
WWII vets.

Making it his goal to meet all 50 governors, by last month Sidney
(at 101 years) has visited with 32 U.S. governors and he also had
a meeting with President Trump in April of last year.

What an amazing man on an important journey.

His son Paul has been his escort over the past two years, but I
learned yesterday that they are running out of money to complete
the tour...

...and Sidney still has 18 more states to go!

So won't you join with me in supporting Sidney so he can finish
his tour?

Sidney's "No Regrets" tour is as extraordinary as it is
significant to Americans.

Since I was a little boy, I was in awe of my great-great
grandfather's, America's March King, patriotism and love of
America, now Sidney has earned second-place in my heart.

You can make a donation to Sidney by clicking here.

And if you would like to learn more about Sidney's tours and
adventures, please visit his website at www.GoSidneyGo.com. You
will be amazed and inspired. It is filled with photos,
proclamations and special recognitions from celebrities and
political and military leaders from coast to coast.

But don't visit his site so long that you forget to make a
donation so that he can finish his tour. He's 101 years-old and
has 32 states down - 18 to go!

P.S. In honor of Independence Day, my great grandfather's most
famous March will be played at celebrations across our great
country. When you hear it, think of Sidney!

I hope Sidney's "No Regrets" Tour will touch your heart and you
will decide to donate so he and his son Paul can finish that
tour.

A generous $10 gift will buy them breakfast while on the tour,
$27.50 will fill the "No Regrets" touring car's gas tank and $65
will help pay for a night's lodging while Sidney and Paul get on
the road to visit those last 18 states.

Go, Sidney, Go!
