Rights, Racism, and Human Dignity
Following the death of George Floyd on May 25, racial unrest boiled over across America. In the last month, we have seen responses ranging from peaceful protests, to violent riots, to defacing statues and abandoning ago-old traditions. But will any of these responses solve racism, and the underlying issue of human dignity? Human Coalition President Brian Fisher examines these recent events and how we as Christians should respond in the episodes “Racism, Human Dignity, and the Rule of Law” and “Re-writing History.”
Additionally, this weekend, we celebrate July 4th and the unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness which our nation was founded on in the Declaration of Independence. In “Know Your Rights,” Brian explores the idea of “unalienable” and “universal” rights, and what it means for human dignity.
