We have multiple major updates on the situation in Gaza, John.

Just this week:

• Israel launched a new, large-scale ground invasion to seize Gaza City, sending in troops and tanks while continuing to relentlessly bomb the city where hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians reside.
  
  
• An independent United Nations commission concluded that Israel’s government is conducting genocide in Gaza, and countries like the United States that continue to supply weapons are complicit. According to the report, “It is clear there is an intent to destroy the Palestinians in Gaza through acts that meet the criteria set forth in the Genocide Convention.”
  
  
• Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is discussing plans for the “voluntary emigration” of ALL Palestinians in Gaza next month. Being forced to leave your home and community after it's been bombed and starved isn’t voluntary—it’s ethnic cleansing.
  
  
• At the same time as all of this, Israel’s military has ramped up aggression on other countries, such as Yemen, where Israeli airstrikes killed 31 people in “the deadliest strike on journalists in the Middle East.”

As the Squad and Justice Democrats in Congress have been saying for months on end, the U.S. must end its complicity in this genocide by halting weapons sales to Israel.

An arms embargo and ceasefire are the bare minimum. If your congressmember isn’t demanding those two things in order to stop genocide and ethnic cleansing, they should lose their jobs.

Justice Democrats is working to elect even more progressive, pro-peace leaders to Congress who reject money from AIPAC and the rest of the anti-Palestinian lobby and will fight for human rights for ALL. We’ve already endorsed two candidates in the 2026 Democratic primaries, and we’re not stopping there.

Together, we can build a strong enough movement to end our government’s complicity in the genocide and free Palestine.
