Hey, it’s Gabe.

I wanted you to hear it from me first: I’m running for re-election to keep representing New Mexico’s 2nd District.

Running for office wasn’t always the plan. I didn’t grow up dreaming of a life in politics. I was raised by a single mother who came to this country from Mexico with nothing but hope, grit, and a whole lot of determination.

She worked long hours and made tough sacrifices. And everything she did — every value she passed on — taught me the importance of service, of hard work, and of speaking up when something isn’t right.

That’s why I ran in the first place.

Because I saw our communities being ignored. I saw politicians more interested in power than in their people. And I knew I had to step up.

Since winning our first campaign in 2022, I’ve traveled across southern New Mexico, meeting people who inspire me every single day.

Families working multiple jobs, neighbors looking out for one another, and communities doing everything they can to build a better future for the next generation.

They remind me why this work matters. And why I keep fighting.

We’ve made real progress together — protecting our public lands, expanding access to healthcare, and building a stronger economic foundation for working people.

But we’re not done. Not even close.

Right now, some of the most fundamental rights in this country are under attack. Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans are targeting this seat because they know just how important NM-02 is to maintain control of the House.

They’re pouring tons of money into this district, and they’ll stop at nothing to flip it. We can’t let that happen.

This is a moment to stand together, because the stakes couldn’t be higher.

If you believe in protecting our democracy, our freedoms, and the communities too often pushed to the margins, then I’m asking: Will you chip in to support my re-election campaign — so I can keep fighting for the people of New Mexico’s 2nd District and continue the work we’ve started together?
