Michael here, folks – and I just wanted to take a moment out of my day to thank you for being a part of this extraordinary grassroots team.

Thank you for giving your time, money and energy in support of our shared responsibility to build opportunity for one another, and for the next generation.

Thank you for your commitment to doing everything you can to help me make Colorado the best place to live and raise a family.

And above all, thank you for believing in me.

But with the clock steadily ticking toward my biggest reporting deadline to date in this race, I need your help now more than ever.

After 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 30, we close our books on the last three months, and submit our fundraising data to the Colorado secretary of state. Two weeks after, our numbers will go public for all to see, including the GOP.

So especially now that a competitive Republican candidate has entered the race, showing the strength of our campaign is key – and the best way we do that is by reaching our $100,000 goal in time.

Otherwise, national Republicans will sense weakness. And, they will direct their ultra-wealthy donors to flood the airwaves with dishonest, division-sowing attack ads in an effort to stop us and take the lead.

And as Donald Trump tries to bully our state into compliance with his far-right agenda, we cannot afford to elect someone who will govern for billionaires like him – because it will come at the expense of Colorado's working families.

To ensure that doesn't happen, we'll need all hands on deck in these last 10 days before the end-of-quarter deadline on Sept. 30. So while there's still time to get back on track, friend, I'm humbly asking:

Will you please chip in $5, $25 or whatever you can today to help me keep up the momentum and win this thing?
