The Trump Administration didn't approve of Jimmy Kimmel's political satire, so it threatened ABC's broadcast license, and ABC took Kimmel off the air.

As you no doubt recognize: this is what happens in authoritarian states, where disfavored political speech is met with official punishment.

You mustn't offend the king!

Shame on ABC and its owner Disney for capitulating to censorship. Their cowardly refusal to fight for the First Amendment will become infamous.

The Trump Administration’s intent is to chill political speech and repress critics — to send the message that if you offend Trump, his Administration will use official power to attack you.

This is the next step in Donald Trump’s growing, unprecedented, and deeply un-American campaign to punish and silence his critics by abusing the powers of state.

We cannot allow this man even more power. And the thing he fears most is losing his rubber-stamp Congress.

It is more vital than at any time in modern American history that the political opposition has the resources to win.

And to be very blunt, the big-money national GOP groups have more money than the big-money national Democratic groups right now.

So it’s going to come down to grassroots supporters.
