I’m reaching out this morning to ask you to chip in to help pass the Election Rigging Response Act here in California.

Otherwise, there are two main reasons I’m asking for your support, particularly today.

First is because we just launched a new ad. But right now (in large part due to a single right-wing billionaire who gave $30 million) we are being outspent. And with just a few weeks until ballots go out, we are quickly running out of time to turn things around and get our message out there.

Friend, we’ll put your contribution today directly toward keeping our newest ads on the air and spreading the word about the election far and wide.

The second reason I’m asking you to give today is that there’s an important fundraising deadline tonight at midnight. And afterwards, we’ll have to publicly report how much we’ve raised and how many people have chipped in.

This election is a big deal, and everyone will be looking: the press, the Trump administration and Republican states considering re-drawing their maps.

They want to know how much grassroots enthusiasm there is to fight back against the Republican power grab happening across the country.

So not only will your donation today help us win this race here in California — it’ll also send a powerful message that we will not sit back as the GOP attacks our country and our democracy.
