I was proud to cosponsor and vote for House Resolution 719, which condemns the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and extends our deepest condolences and sympathies to Charlie Kirk’s family, including his wife, Erika, and their two young children. The resolution calls upon all Americans—regardless of race, party affiliation, or creed—to reject political violence, recommit to respectful debate, uphold American values, and respect one another as fellow Americans.

Every day I’m thankful for the sacrifices made by our troops deployed around the world. I was happy to meet and speak with USO officials about their ongoing efforts to provide assistance to our men and women in uniform during their Care Package Assembly Service Project this week here at the Capitol. Rest assured, I will continue to support our troops and their families.

Like so many ALS advocates, I am inspired by Grey's Anatomy actor Eric Dane and the incredible bravery he has demonstrated since his ALS diagnosis. As a Co-Chair of the ALS Caucus, I will continue to work side-by-side with Eric, I AM ALS, and other stakeholders to fund critical research into cures and treatments.

It's always great when your hometown chamber of commerce comes to the Capitol! The Corona Chamber of Commerce is in town for their annual small business advocacy trip. Local businesses are already benefiting from the new tax law I voted for earlier this year. I look forward to our continued work together to help our job creators!
