With each passing day under the Trump administration, our country and the democratic principles that uphold it – liberty, equality, and justice – are substantially tested. Donald Trump's reckless actions, from illegal tariffs to attacks on our freedom of speech, have proven just how extreme he is. 

His agenda is not abstract: They put lives, livelihoods, and our freedoms at risk. I've spent my career trying to uphold these core values and principles. 

From the moment I stepped into the attorney's general office, I've made it my mission to stand up for people – not the powerful.

I've taken on corporations that exploited workers, fought to protect reproductive rights, defended immigrant families, and held Donald Trump and his corrupt administration accountable. And I continue to carry my promise to the people of New York forward every single day.

That's why Trump is smearing me personally. But I won't be intimidated, and I will never kowtow to bullies. My oath is to justice and to the people I serve – and I intend to keep defending progress no matter how rich or powerful the opposition may be.
