Kris Mayes for Arizona

John,

It's Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes. I want to tell you about the miracle of IVF — and why I'll never let anyone take that choice away from Arizona families.

Thirteen years ago, in my early forties, I made one of the most important decisions of my life: I decided to undergo in vitro fertilization. I asked a college friend to help me, and together we brought my daughter Hattie into the world.

Becoming a mom is hands down the best thing I've ever done.

Hattie is my world. We play Uno every night. She's smart, funny, and the reason I fight so hard to protect Arizona's future. And she wouldn't exist without IVF.

But now extremists want to make IVF illegal.

IVF requires growing embryos to day six, and some are not used. Under extremist proposals being pushed by Republicans, it would be outlawed. The very procedure that gave me Hattie could be banned.

In fact, Trump's MAHA agenda and Republican politicians in Arizona are attacking reproductive rights across the board. They think politicians should make these deeply personal decisions instead of families and their doctors.

It’s not just wrong – it's outrageous that they want to put up more barriers to family formation.

As Attorney General, I've made it clear: I won't prosecute women or doctors who stand up for reproductive rights. I'll fight every attempt to criminalize the medical procedures that help families grow.

I'm running for re-election, and my opponents want to be an Attorney General who won't protect these rights. They want someone who will enforce extremist ideas instead of protecting Arizona families' rights to make their own reproductive choices.

Can you pitch in so I can stay in the fight for reproductive freedom?

Every family deserves the right to make their own reproductive decisions. Every woman deserves access to the full range of reproductive healthcare. Every child deserves to be wanted and loved.

I won't let MAHA extremists take Arizona families' rights to choose for themselves without a fight.

Thanks for being in my corner,

— Kris
