My family is just one example!
Take it from me: Minnesota women get the job done.
I learned that from my own family.
My grandmother, Mary, was active in our local Democratic Party long before most women were accepted in politics.
My Auntie Marie ran for State Senate in 1982 (I knocked on doors as a toddler!) and showed me that women could run for office.
And my mom, Patricia, found time to fight for the causes and candidates she believed in even while struggling to make ends meet as a single mom.
I saw women leading all the time — in our families, in our communities, and in the Democratic Party.
I never knew a world where women DIDN’T run for office. And that’s exactly the kind of world I’m fighting to pass on to my daughter, and to all of our children.
So when it was my turn to step up and lead, I remembered my grandma and my aunt and my mom, and that’s exactly what I did.
From serving on the Minneapolis School Board and making our schools the best in the country, to leading the successful campaign to raise our minimum wage in Minnesota: I fight, I run, I win, and I get the job done.
Because that’s what Minnesota women do.
Can you help send this Minnesota woman to the Senate to keep getting things done for our families?

When I’m elected to the Senate, I’ll be making history as the first Native American woman to serve there. And I’m going to fight like heck to make sure I’m not the last.
Chi miigwech (big thank you)!
