Ilhan Omar denounced the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk—condemning violence in all forms while speaking honestly about his politics. Boebert twisted her words into a racist attack, telling Omar to “go back to Somalia.”

Now more MAGA extremists are following her lead. Nancy Mace has echoed the same “go back to Somalia” smear. And Republicans just days ago tried to censure Ilhan and strip her of her committee assignments and President Trump called for her to be removed from Congress—all for daring to speak her mind.

Boebert and Mace know exactly what they are doing. They are fanning the flames of division, violence, and white supremacy. By targeting Ilhan Omar, they are sending a message to every immigrant, every woman of color, every critic of MAGA extremism: sit down, or you’ll be next.

I refuse to let that stand. I’m running to defeat Lauren Boebert and bring something different to Congress: radical peace. That means rejecting hate and building a future where no one is told to “go back” for exercising their rights as an American.
