Day 243
It’s Day 243 of President Trump’s second term. No one has lost their Social Security, Medicare, or veterans’ benefits in spite of constant media and leftist lies.
The Kimmel Controversy
The “Big Lie” about Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension is upsetting some of our libertarian conservative friends. Democrats are claiming it was “censorship,” an “abuse of government power,” and “Trump acting like a dictator.” Leftist commentators are calling it “fascism.” Yes, we’re back to that already.
Here is the reality.
When it comes to the major broadcast networks, the government does have a lot of authority. Those networks must have licenses from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate on public airwaves.
Those licenses have always stated that the networks must operate “in the public interest” in order to have a “monopoly” over the spectrum of airwaves the government is giving them.
That doesn’t mean the government can censor them. But if the networks began airing calls for revolution or running programs on how to make Molotov cocktails, or spreading blatantly false lies, they would run the risk of losing their licenses.
Donald Trump has no authority to order Jimmy Kimmel off the air. No one told Kimmel he had to run his comedy routine past Donald Trump. Although the president is much funnier than Jimmy Kimmel.
Kimmel was suspended for blatantly lying about Charlie Kirk’s assassin. Kimmel said the assassin was part of the MAGA movement. That’s absurd.
Everyone from his parents to law enforcement at all levels have reported evidence that he had become radicalized by far-left ideology. This was obvious from the messages he etched into his bullet casings. His lover was a radical trans.
The reason Kimmel was suspended was because he obviously lied and refused to apologize. He told told ABC and Disney executives that he planned to go on the air Wednesday night and double down on his “MAGA killed Kirk” lies.
ABC and Disney executives were concerned—and rightly so—that Kimmel’s disgusting remarks would lead to boycotts. In addition, they were facing a revolt from ABC affiliates and TV station owners. This was a business decision made by corporate leaders, not Donald Trump.
The Left says we’re living in communist China or North Korea or fill in the blank of some other despotic nation. Leftists are claiming America is becoming “a dictatorship.”
Well, if that were true, every leftist pundit, which is virtually every pundit, would not be allowed to say, “We’re becoming a dictatorship!” If Donald Trump really was a dictator, federal district court judges wouldn’t be blocking his orders at every turn.
Once again, these leftist lies are intended to stoke fear and riots. If you think that’s extreme, that’s exactly what the Left did in 2020. Those riots were not spontaneous.
The Real Threat
Donald Trump is not a threat to free speech. One of his first actions after his inauguration on January 20th was issuing an executive order protecting free speech and demanding an investigation into government censorship during the Biden administration. The real threat to free speech is coming from the Marxist Left.
The Left began censoring conservatives during Trump’s first term. Even the Washington Post admitted years ago that “Shadow Banning Is Real.” During the 2020 campaign, social media companies suspended the president’s reelection campaign account.
Censorship became priority number one during the Biden administration. Social media companies said they were being called repeatedly from people inside the Biden White House “screaming and cursing” at them to stop people from posting information Democrats claimed was “misinformation.”
There were discussions in the Biden administration and among congressional Democrats about shutting down Fox News, not just a specific show, but the entire network. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was demanding an appropriately Orwellian-named “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to “rein in the press.”
But because one so-called “comedian” got suspended, the same people who wanted to shut Fox News down are claiming Trump is censoring them.
The Doubled Standard
The Trump administration has designated Antifa as a terrorist organization. Various administration officials have said there is an infrastructure of Marxist, violence-oriented groups connected with transgender ideology and other radical LGBTQ movements.
They’re not talking about the gay couple living in your neighborhood. They’re talking about people who march naked in public in the presence of children, groups that advocate for pedophilia, and “queer” (their chosen name) groups that promote violence.
But already, serious people, including in our intelligence agencies, are denouncing the effort, claiming the administration is “targeting transgender people.”
Have we already forgotten that under Joe Biden the government labeled virtually every major conservative group and movement as domestic extremists? They relied on the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) to determine who is a hate group. The SPLC is itself a left-wing hate group!
So, normal parents going to school board meetings were labeled as “domestic extremists.” Catholics celebrating the Latin mass were “domestic extremists.” If you love Jesus and America, you’re a “Christian nationalist” and a possible terrorist.
Biden’s Pentagon, in an effort to root out the “right-wing extremists” among them, directed commanding officers to check the social media of the men and women under their command to make sure they weren’t visiting sites with “Patriot” in the name. The Pentagon even labeled “pro-life activists” as “terrorists.”
This was going on every day of the Biden/Harris regime!
Now, some people on our side are already getting wobbly knees. They’re saying, “If we go down that road and label trans groups as threats, they’re going to do the same thing to us when they get back into power.”
THEY ALREADY DID IT TO US!
And they will do it again even harder regardless of what we do or don’t do now!
If we fall for that argument, we’re just like the weenies in the GOP establishment fretting about changing the rules in Congress because Democrats will then change the rules. They already did.
Harry Reid didn’t hesitate to “go nuclear” and change the rules so he could ram through Barack Obama’s radical judges. We will get no “points” or credit for being the “nice guys.”
She’s Back
Kamala Harris is back in the headlines thanks to her new book, which continues to make Pepto fly off the shelf wherever liberal Democrats live. First, she threw Joe Biden under the bus and savaged his White House team.
Her latest revelation is that “Tampon Tim” was not her first choice for vice president. She really wanted Pete Buttigieg.
But that wouldn’t have worked because you couldn’t have the first black female president with the first homosexual vice president. She suggests it just would have been too much for all those bigoted Americans. So, she chose “Tampon Tim,” instead of the guy “married” to another guy who writes LGBTQ-themed books for children.
Maybe Harris needs some DEI training to get over her inherent homophobia. And she’s not the only one.
The Minnesota Democrat Party is tearing itself apart now with trans activists trying to expel the “Feminist Caucus” for “misgendering” people and failing to elect men as leaders of the “Feminist Caucus.” It’s like piranha deciding to eat piranha. Pass the salt!
Just another example of how this twisted ideology has infected the Democrat Party.
The Schumer Shutdown
Kudos to Speaker Mike Johnson. He successfully “herded the cats” in the Republican Party. The House of Representatives just passed a continuing resolution, 217 to 212, to keep the government open for seven weeks.
Now it goes to the Senate where Democrats are demanding more subsidies for Obamacare and the restoration of funding for public broadcasting, among other things.
The problem is that we need 60 votes in the Senate to pass the government funding bill, and we only have 53 Republican senators. It looks like Democrats will not provide the seven necessary votes. In fact, Schumer has been planning to shut down the government.
But as history has shown, every government shutdown somehow becomes the GOP’s fault, even when Democrats cause it, because the fake news media always parrots Democrat talking points.
Remembering Charlie
Charlie Kirk’s memorial service will take place this Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Secretaries Rubio, Kennedy, and Hegseth will be speaking.
Needless to say, security for the event is at Super Bowl levels. It will be one of the most secure places in the country.
That security is obviously needed as Republican officials continue to be targeted by deranged individuals. There is news today that a man threatened to kill New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte with a “weapon of mass destruction.”
In addition, Ashland County, Ohio, Sheriff Kurt Schneider is launching an investigation into the Ashland County Democrat Party. Buttons promoting the assassination of President Trump were discovered at the party’s booth at the Ashland County fair.
The buttons read, “Is he dead yet?” and “One day, we will wake up to his obituary.” Democrats were told to pack up their booth and were banned from the fair.
