Next year, Virginians will have the chance to enshrine abortion access into the state constitution - meaning that people will be able to safely access care in the state regardless of which party holds the majority. But whether that amendment makes it to the ballot in 2026 depends on the outcome of this year’s elections. Virginia is the last state in the South with any real abortion access, making it even more imperative that we get the ballot measure across the finish line. It starts here, by electing abortion forward- reproductive justice candidates who will champion the ballot measure forward.
