First up: Some Feelings
Predictably, the vitriol coming at us is relentless because while we do NOT want anyone murdered by gun violence or any violence, we WILL NOT go out of our way to honor our oppressors. We wish Senate Democrats would have our backs on that [[link removed]] , especially when this person has relentlessly threatened and attacked our communities .
A Facebook post from David S. Cohen dated September 12 at 10:54 AM. Text reads: See, Charlie Kirk was a good guy who should be honored because he valued free speech. So much so, in fact, that he put me and many of my friends and colleagues on his Professor Watchlist. No, not because he wanted us targeted - why would you think that you cynical fool?! Rather, because he was being so kind and thoughtful to highlight our work for his rabid, highly-armed rightwing extremist audience. I am so grateful for all he did to promote us to this new group of people! In fact, many of our colleagues working in the abortion space were on Charlie Kirk’s professor watchlist. This list puts targets on the backs of those advocating and educating around abortion and abortion related topics— like Drexel University law professor David Cohen [[link removed]] . These are eople who already know the price [[link removed]] of working to advance abortion and human rights. [[link removed]] So, sorry not sorry but when our friends are doxxed and harassed, we’re gonna have some feels about it, okay?
And to make matters worse, the Right Wing manosphere that screamed it was feminists and pronoun police silencing them are no where to be found when Steven Colbert or Jimmy Kimmel are silenced BY GOVERNMENT PRESSURE. [[link removed]] But a Fox News host is given a pass for suggesting we just execute mentally ill unhoused folks. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.
This rant may seem a bit off topic for us, but abortion advocacy—whether online or on TV—has been silenced and shadow banned for a long time. So when we see this kind of thing, it is chilling AF and makes this newsletter, our social media feed, and our podcast CRITICAL TOOLS in the war against our first amendment right to advocate for abortion access. Abortion AF will keep bringing you the news you need to hear about, the snark everyone deserves hear about, and actions waiting out there for you to get involved!
Because what the hell else are we gonna do? So let’s get to some important stories we think you should know.
The Trumps Weren’t a “Waste Not, Want Not” Kind of Family, Apparently
Just dream about what you could do with 10 million dollars worth of contraceptives—what joy! Unless you’re the Trash Administration nightmare, which is trying to destroy millions of dollars of contraceptives destined for low-income countries instead of selling or giving them away [[link removed]] . Rather than SELL the stockpile sitting in that Belgian warehouse to other organizations like the United Nations or the Gates Foundation so that they can be used, these dicks choose to incinerate the contraceptives to make sure they don’t go to the low-income nations and refugee camps like USAID intended! But don’t let the smoke from the fire obscure the important reason why is this happening:
Because they’re saying that BIRTH CONTROL is abortion.

Stop IUD-enying Medical Facts
THAT’S RIGHT, folks: your IUDs, implants, oral contraceptives, you name it? Apparently, all abortions [[link removed]] … and we already know how chill they are about us having access to that . Per a White House Office of Management and Budget statement, “President Trump is committed to protecting the lives of unborn children all around the world. The administration will no longer supply abortifacient birth control under the guise of foreign aid.” They would rather SPEND $167K dollars to burn them, rather than RECEIVE almost 60 times that amount and actually help people. But of course, that doesn’t matter to Trump.

Here’s our pitch: instead of forcing people into pregnancy by removing contraceptives and abortion, just stop passing shitty laws and let people do whatever the hell they want with their own bodies and lives.
